Illegal construction removed in Rajgarh on the orders of High Court
Major action has been taken against the two-storey building illegally constructed by Dinesh Thakur and Rajesh Thakur in Khasra number 197 near the post office of Rajgarh. This construction was done on the land of PWD and Revenue Department, which has now been declared completely illegal.
It is said that in 2012, the Himachal Pradesh High Court had given clear orders regarding this illegal construction that the construction work should be stopped immediately and the shutters installed should be removed within fifteen days. Despite this, the construction work did not stop and a two-storey building was built there.
After hearing the case, in January 2025, the High Court once again took a tough stand and ordered that the supply of electricity and water be cut off on illegal encroachments. Following these orders of the court, the concerned department issued the first notice in October 2024. After that the encroachers asked for some time, but did not submit any satisfactory documents to the department.
After this, on 2 April 2025, the Electricity Department reached the spot along with the PWD department, however no action could be taken at that time. But by April 16, a final notice was issued to vacate the shops.
On May 3, Dinesh and Rajesh Thakur themselves vacated their shops and removed the shutters. According to the information received, this entire construction was done on the land of PWD and Revenue Department and has been declared completely illegal.
