IIM Sirmaur hosted its second Alumni Chapter meet in Bengaluru

The Indian Institute of Management Sirmaur (IIM Sirmaur) hosted its second Alumni
Chapter Meet in Bengaluru, bringing together 60 alumni from eight batches for an evening
of nostalgia, connection, and celebration. The event highlighted the institute’s dedication to
building a vibrant and collaborative alumni network.
The evening began with engaging activities that rekindled fond memories of student life,
setting a lively and nostalgic tone for the gathering. Dr. Vikas Kumar, Chairperson of the
Alumni Relations Cell, extended a warm welcome, emphasizing the pivotal role of alumni in
shaping the institute’s legacy. He shared the vision for establishing an official Alumni
Association to strengthen ties and foster collaboration. Dr. Vikas also outlined the institute’s
goal of developing long term and sustainable management programs to nurture future
leaders who will enrich IIM Sirmaur’s growing alumni network.
Dr. Prafulla Agnihotri, Director of IIM Sirmaur, delivered a keynote address, spotlighting
major milestones, including the inauguration of the permanent campus at Dhaula Kuan and
the launch of innovative academic initiatives. He also shared plans to enhance global
collaborations, recruit international faculty, and promote research opportunities,
reinforcing IIM Sirmaur’s commitment to academic excellence. Dr. Agnihotri encouraged
alumni to actively contribute ideas to enhance corporate placements, improve institutional
growth, and support research initiatives.
The event facilitated meaningful dialogue as alumni shared valuable recommendations to
support the institute’s growth. Discussions revolved around enhancing corporate placement
opportunities, fostering student-alumni engagement, and encouraging participation in
research and case competitions.
