Hoshiyaar ji, if you wanted to become MLA, then why did you resign: Sukhu
Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu today participated in an election program in Naleti of Dehra Assembly Constituency and said that BJP candidate Hoshiar Singh is trying to mislead the people of Dehra. He said that if he wanted to become MLA, then why did he resign from the post of MLA. The public had sent Hoshiar Singh as MLA till 2027 but he resigned within one and a half years because Hoshiar Singh compromised the sentiments of the people of Dehra and sold his integrity. He said that Hoshiar Singh has nothing to do with the development of Dehra.
The Chief Minister said that for 14 months, Hoshiar Singh kept getting work done from the Congress government and at the time of Rajya Sabha elections, he got involved in the conspiracy to topple the government. After casting his vote in favour of the BJP candidate in Rajya Sabha, Hoshiar Singh did not come to Dehra for a month. He should explain to the people of Dehra why he kept roaming in five-star hotels outside the state for a month. He said that Hoshiar Singh has insulted the people of Dehra and now the voters have decided to teach him a lesson. He said that the people of the state have taught a lesson to the turncoats who rebelled against the Congress party and the number of Congress party MLAs in the Assembly has increased from 34 to 38. Now it is the turn of three independent MLAs. He said that an international level zoo is being built on the rocky land of Bankhandi at a cost of Rs 650 crore, the construction work of the first phase of which will be completed in the year 2025. Through this project, 2000 local people will get employment opportunities. He said that this project will improve the economy of the people of the area and will change the picture of Dehra Assembly constituency.
The Chief Minister said that the present Congress has cleared the way for the construction of a central university in Dehra. In the previous BJP government, even the process of forest clearance for setting up the university was not completed, whereas the present Congress government got the forest clearance done for the construction of this university and started the construction work. Along with this, the present government provided funds for the construction of a bus stand in Haripur.
Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that the Congress party has made his wife Kamlesh Thakur the party candidate from Dehra assembly constituency on the basis of a survey. He said that earlier the slogan was ‘Dehra koi nahi tera’ but now Dehra has become ours. The responsibility of the development of Dehra area is now mine and it has also started. He said that after the end of the election code of conduct, a notification will be issued to open the Superintendent of Police office and SE PWD office in Dehra. He said that the present Congress government started making many schemes for public welfare from the very first day and started implementing them on the ground so that the welfare of every section can be ensured. Schemes have been made for everyone from government employees to women, laborers and orphans and the state government has become the voice of every section.
On this occasion, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Aniruddh Singh, AYUSH Minister Yadavendra Goma, MLAs Vivek Sharma and Rakesh Kalia, former MLA Yograj and other dignitaries were present.
