Delhi Rally Signals BJP’s Countdown Has Begun: Vinay Kumar
State Congress President Vinay Kumar has claimed that the massive turnout at the INDIA alliance’s mega rally in Delhi reflects growing public anger against what the opposition has described as “vote theft.” He said the rally sent a clear message that people would not tolerate any attempt to undermine democracy or the Constitution.
Taking aim at the BJP, Kumar described its padayatra as an attempt to divert public attention from pressing national issues and allegations surrounding the electoral process.
He also accused the BJP of exploiting people’s religious sentiments and referred to allegations concerning donations made in the name of the Ram temple. He questioned how a party facing such allegations could claim to be acting in the interests of the country and its citizens.
Kumar further alleged that the country’s electoral process had been severely compromised, saying questions were now being raised over the functioning of the Election Commission.
He claimed that the BJP’s nationwide march was aimed at shielding Gyanesh Kumar from criticism. Referring to the SIR exercise, Kumar alleged that 130 million Indian citizens had been labelled as infiltrators and excluded from the democratic voting process. He described the issue as extremely serious and said those responsible must be held accountable.
