Hoshiar Singh is getting arrogant due to his money: Sukhu

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu held street corner meetings in Triple, Darkata, Dohag Paloti, Naushera, Paisa, Sioti Khurd, Mayoli, Bankhandi, Sher Lohara and Gher Mangarh of Dehra assembly constituency on Thursday. He campaigned vigorously in Dehra for the Congress party candidate and his wife Kamlesh Thakur.

Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that it is now my responsibility to solve the problems of Dehra because Dehra has now become the constituency of the Chief Minister. He said that due to the implementation of the election code of conduct, he will not make any announcement right now, but all the problems of Dehra will be solved in the coming time. He said that BJP leaders are giving different types of statements every day, whereas this by-election has been imposed on the people of the state by the BJP itself. Independent MLAs and six Congress MLAs conspired with the BJP to topple the elected Congress government. Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur and other BJP leaders repeatedly claimed that the BJP government would be formed in Himachal Pradesh on June 4, but in the last by-election, the people of the state have taught a tough lesson to the sold-out MLAs and the number of Congress MLAs in the Assembly has increased from 34 to 38.

The Chief Minister said that no independent MLA leaves his post of MLA just like that. Hoshiar Singh is arrogant about money. Due to the deal with BJP, former MLA Hoshiar Singh resigned and pressure was put on him to accept his resignation to get the second installment of the deal. For the first time in the history of India, an independent MLA sat on a dharna to get his resignation accepted and also knocked the door of the High Court. He said that the government is keeping a close eye on the money of the second case. He said that the sold MLAs will come with money to buy votes, the public should take double the money from them but vote in favor of Congress only because it is your own money. He said that after leaving his post as an independent MLA, he is now coming to ask for votes to become MLA again for three and a half years. He has left his post of MLA due to the arrogance of money because he feels that the people of Dehra are in his pocket. He said that even the honest workers of BJP are angry with giving ticket to Hoshiar Singh.

Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that an MLA gets an amount of two crore rupees every year for the development of his area and Hoshiar Singh got 12 crore rupees in six years. But instead of spending this money on the development of the people, he spent it on building his resort. He himself says that his monthly expenditure is 15 crores, if this is so then why is Dehra assembly constituency still backward. He said that the people of Dehra will never compromise with their self-respect and will teach a lesson to those who sell them in the political market.

The Chief Minister said that the present State Government had provided funds to complete the new bus stand at Haripur and also accelerated other development projects to solve other problems of the area. Refuting the allegations of Hoshiar Singh, Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that if his work was not being done in the present government, he would have sat with the BJP but what was the need to impose the cost of by-election on the public. He asked what happened that he resigned in just 14 months and now he is contesting again to become MLA for three and a half years. The Chief Minister said that 1046 women of Dehra Assembly constituency have also received the third installment of financial assistance of Rs. 1500 under Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi and now they have received Rs. 4500 each.

The Chief Minister said that the state government will leave no stone unturned in the development of Dehra. The office of Superintendent of Police and SE PWD are being opened in Dehra and the problems here will be resolved in the next three and a half years. The state government will not leave any shortage of funds for the development of Dehra. He said that an international level zoo is being built at Bankhandi in Dehra at a cost of Rs 650 crore, which will provide employment opportunities to two thousand local people. He said that the Congress government has restored the old pension scheme for 1 lakh 36 thousand government employees of the state, the daily wage of MNREGA has been increased from Rs 240 to Rs 300. Along with financial assistance of Rs 3 lakh to widows for building houses, the state government will bear the entire cost of providing higher education to their children up to the age of 27 years. Along with this, the state government is also providing free treatment up to Rs 25 lakh to the elderly above 70 years of age. To increase the income of farmers, cow milk is being purchased at the rate of Rs. 45 per liter and buffalo milk at the rate of Rs. 55 per liter. The state government is purchasing wheat produced through natural farming at the rate of Rs. 40 per kg and maize at the rate of Rs. 30 per kg. Along with this, the state government has also made a provision of Rs. 50 crore for fencing to protect farmers from the loss caused by stray animals.

Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that despite not getting any help from the BJP, the state government has rehabilitated 22 thousand families affected by last year’s disaster and has made a historic increase in the compensation amount for them.

Retired Naib Tehsildar Prem Lal Kaundal, resident of Bhati Darkata and retired ITBP Inspector Bhumi Singh joined the Congress party expressing faith in the leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu.
