Hindustan First, then Himachal, Finally Us: Anurag Thakur

Former Union Minister and Member of Parliament from Hamirpur Lok Sabha constituency, Shri Anurag Singh Thakur, today shared his views in the interest of Himachal Pradesh during a meeting with office bearers of various Himachali welfare organizations at an event organized by the World Himachali Organization in Chandigarh. Under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” (A Tree in Mother’s Name) initiative, he also participated in a tree plantation drive. During the program, Shri Thakur urged content creators to produce content that promotes social awareness and Himachali culture, including its cuisine.

Shri Anurag Singh Thakur said, “The people of Himachal have carved a strong identity for themselves across the world through their hard work. Himachalis are known as honest, justice-loving, and law-abiding citizens. Himachal Pradesh has made a significant contribution to India’s development journey. This is our pride and our strength. Various organizations working for the welfare of Himachalis in Chandigarh and other parts of the country are commendably fostering unity among us and promoting our state’s culture, traditions, and glorious history. In every step of our lives, we must remind ourselves that our guiding principle should be—‘Hindustan First, then Himachal, Finally Us.’ The brave land of Himachal has given so much to this nation, and it is our responsibility to preserve and carry forward its glorious and rich heritage.”

Speaking further, Shri Thakur said, “While working in different organizations, our thoughts and opinions may differ, but when it comes to Himachal and Himachali identity, standing united is our duty. Today, Himachal is suffering from natural calamities, but even in these difficult times, it is heartening to see Himachalis from all over coming together wholeheartedly to heal Himachal’s wounds and help it recover from this disaster.”

Shri Anurag Singh Thakur added, “There is no doubt that under the leadership of respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Digital India has completed 11 years, and the entire nation has witnessed its positive transformation. This medium enables direct communication and provides a platform for innovation. There is no intermediary between content creators and their audience. While transparency is a great advantage, it also comes with great responsibility. I urge content creators to focus more on producing content that promotes social awareness and Himachali culture, including its cuisine, so that the world can learn about the unique aspects of Himachal.”
