Himachal troubled by misrule of Congress: BJP
The Bharatiya Janata Party organised a massive state-level demonstration at Chaura Maidan, Shimla against the misrule, corruption and mafia rule of the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh. Thousands of BJP workers participated in this massive demonstration, which clearly reflected the public’s anger against the Congress government. This demonstration was chaired by BJP state president Dr. Rajiv Bindal, in which state in-charge Shrikant Sharma, co-in-charge Sanjay Tandon, Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur and many senior BJP leaders were present.
Addressing the protest, BJP State President Dr. Rajiv Bindal said that the two and a half years of misrule of the Congress government in Himachal has brought the state to the brink of ruin. In just two years and four months, the government has burdened the state with a new loan of Rs 32,000 crore, due to which the total debt has reached Rs 1,03,000 crore. The government’s loot and corruption has completely halted development, due to which employment opportunities have ended and inflation has reached its peak.
Attacking the Congress government, Dr. Bindal said that Himachal has been caught in the clutches of chitta mafia, liquor mafia, scrap mafia, mining mafia and forest mafia. The Congress government is openly protecting these mafias, due to which the law and order of the state has completely collapsed. Brutal murder of Dalit youth: During the tenure of the Congress government, the law and order has deteriorated so much that a Dalit youth was murdered, cut into 8 pieces and thrown in a sack. This series of brutal murders continues from Chamba to Kinnaur and Una to Sirmaur. Young generation on the verge of destruction: Chitta mafia has pushed the young generation of Himachal into drug addiction, but the Congress government is sitting as a mute spectator. Terror of mafias: Mafias are openly firing in Bilaspur, mining mafia is chasing and beating SDM in Mandi, forest mafia dragged a forest guard for three kilometers in Chamba. These incidents prove that the Congress government has handed over the state to criminals.
Before coming to power, the Congress government had made a false promise of providing 5 lakh jobs and 1 lakh government jobs, but till now thousands of government posts have been abolished. The promise of giving Rs 1500 per month to 28 lakh women turned out to be a hoax, the guarantee of giving 300 units of free electricity turned out to be a fraud. Instead, the government has imposed new taxes on the people- cement expensive, drinking water expensive, electricity expensive, depot ration expensive, HRTC fare increased, tax imposed on home stays. Instead of giving relief to the common people, the Congress government is exploiting the people of Himachal by imposing taxes and inflation.
The Congress government has set a new record by closing 1500 government institutions in Himachal so far. Out of these, 1200 schools were closed
PHC, CHC, Patwar Circle and Tehsil were closed
PWD and IPH offices were closed, Old Age Pension Scheme, Himcare, Sahara Scheme, Sukanya Scheme and Ayushman Scheme were stopped. This is the useless Congress Government which instead of giving relief to the people is busy in snatching their rights.
BJP state president Dr. Rajiv Bindal clearly said that the Congress government is hell bent on ruining Himachal, but the BJP will not tolerate it. This struggle of the BJP will continue until Himachal is freed from the corrupt, useless and mafia-supporting government of the Congress.
BJP workers and the people of the state have resolved that the fight against the misrule of Congress will be fought at every level and in the coming elections, the people will throw this corrupt government out of power.
