Himachal to Celebrate “Sushasan Saptah” from December 19-24, 2024, Promoting Good Governance
In the lead-up to Good Governance Day on December 25, 2024, the state of Himachal Pradesh will observe a week-long campaign titled “Sushasan Saptah – Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” from December 19 to 24. The initiative is being organized in collaboration with the Department of Administrative Reforms, Government of India, and the Administrative Reforms Department of Himachal Pradesh.
Sh. C. Paulrasu, IAS, Secretary (Administrative Reforms & Redressal of Public Grievances) to the Government of Himachal Pradesh, stated that the campaign aims to foster good governance through active participation and support from both central and state government departments.
As part of the celebrations, Deputy Commissioners across the state will hold special camps and events at Tehsil Headquarters, Panchayat Samitis, and other locations to address public grievances and improve service delivery. On December 23, 2024, a dissemination workshop will be organized at the district level to collate and share good governance practices. The collected practices will be uploaded on the “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” portal, accessible at https://darpgapps.nic.inGGW24.
The Secretary has urged the public to actively participate in the events and make use of the platform to resolve their grievances, emphasizing the importance of community involvement in achieving effective governance.
