Himachal Pradesh records 1,773 new positive cases on Thursday

As many as 1,773 new Corona positive cases were detected in Himachal Pradesh on Thursday and the number of active cases has gone up to 8,115.
A six-month-old kid also lost his life in Sirmaur district due to the virus, said a spokesman of the HP Health Department.
The department tested 12,320 samples out of which 1,773 were found infected.
He said that 534 older cases were also cured in the state on Thursday and the number of confirmed cases has gone up to 2, 38,355 as against 2, 26,334 cured cases.
The number of total fatalities had gone up to 3,871.
The spokesman said that the maximum number of 354 cases was reported from Kangra district, followed by Hamirpur -250, Solan-262, Una-225, Sirmaur-191, Mandi-171, Shimla-123, Kullu-65, Bilaspur-65, Chamba-47, Kinnaur-13 and Lahaul, and Spiti-7.
Meanwhile, the number of Corona cases continued to rise at the NIT, Hamirpur campus where 25 new cases were found in the first two reports released by the local health department.
