Himachal Govt order CBI probe in Question paper leak case

Himachal Pradesh Government decided to handed over the police paper leak case to Central Bureau of Investigation on Tuesday after the scam found spanned in ten state. This announced by the Chief minister Jai Ram Thakur here today. Briefing media on the issue Chief minister Jai Ram Thakur said that SIT was constituted by the state government after having input that candidates who have qualified and top the written examination even the topper got 75 pet cent marks could not answer simple questions. After this a preliminary investigation was conducted which took eight top students under Police grilling revealed the name of agents and source of question paper. Chief minister said that examination was held on Mar 26.2022 attended by around 75000 candidates who qualified the physical and ground examination for around 1334 posts of constables in state police. The FIR was lodged at Kangra district on the alleged paper leak case. On the next day SIT probe was constituted by the DIG central range Madhusudan and four others top police officer who have found that 73 People were involved in the paper leak including 38 students and two parents. State police was conducted the probe since paper was leak in police recruitment moreover 10 People were arrested from the ten different states which busted interstate paper leak gang. It was done after consultation with members of council of ministers to handed over the further probe to CBI to ensure that state police come clean on this scam to further restored the faith of common people on the state police which so far done commendable job to unearth a big gang. Chief minister evade query about role of state police officers stating that it would come out in the CBI probe if any one would be there. Chief mistier said that kingpin Shiv Bhadur Singh was arrested from Varanasi and Aman Singh from Bihar. So far SIT recovered cash of Rs 8.9 lakh from some arrested agents involved in the paper leak case. He said that SIT would continue the probe paper leak scam till CBI took over investigation. Chief minister said that State which is called Dev Bhumi ashamed of the scam and culprits would not be spared. Chief minister said that state government would learnt from the probe for further conducting if examination and not relying on the paper printers belonged to outside the state he said that further written examination of 75000 qualified candidates would be process soon. State government said that it would not charge bus fare from the affected students who would reappear in the examination again.
