Harsh Vardhan Chauhan said that the BJP leaders who pretend to be well-wishers of the farmers are forgetting that the farmers launched the country’s biggest farmer movement in protest against the anti-farmer bills of the BJP government at the Centre. He said that the upliftment of farmers and cattle herders is a priority for the state government, hence the government has launched many welfare schemes for the cattle herders and farmers. He said that the state government has made a historic increase in the support price of cow milk from Rs 32 to Rs 45 per liter and the support price of buffalo milk has been increased from Rs 47 to Rs 55 per liter. He said that Himachal is the first state in the country to give a minimum support price on milk, due to which the income of cattle farmers is increasing. Also, to benefit the cattle rearers of the state, a ‘State of the Art’ milk processing plant will be set up at Dagwar in Kangra district at a cost of about Rs 226 crore, which will ensure maximum utilization of milk by the cattle rearers by producing various types of milk products. Will be done.

The Industries Minister said that the present Congress government knows very well that the dream of self-reliant Himachal can be realized only by strengthening the rural economy. To fulfill this resolution, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has set a target of connecting about 36 thousand farmers with natural farming under the Rajiv Gandhi Natural Farming Start-up Scheme. He said that while promoting natural farming, the government has decided to buy wheat produced from natural farming at the minimum support price of Rs 40 and maize at Rs 30 per kg, which is the highest support price given on wheat and maize in the entire country. Is. He said that to provide benefits to the gardeners, the support price of apple, mango, and lemon fruits has been increased by a historic increase of Rs 1.50 from Rs 10.50 to Rs 12 per kg. Along with this, for the first time in history, the apples of apple growers of Himachal Pradesh were sold based on kilos, due to which they benefited. The state government has decided to implement a Universal Carton in Himachal Pradesh from the next season. Harsh Vardhan Chauhan said that these decisions of the government show that the state government is ensuring the welfare and upliftment of farmers and gardeners by giving priority to them. He said that BJP leaders do not like the decisions being taken in the interest of farmers and gardeners and they are making meaningless statements out of frustration with the immense public support that Congress is getting.
