Himachal Government hikes Circuit and Rest houses charges by 50 percent 

Seven Month Old Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu Congress Government in Himachal Pradesh has given the second hike in the charges being recovered from the VVIPs and General public from various circuit houses and rest houses in the state by increasing it by fifty percent.

A notification issued by the state finance Department here today a copy of which is with us said that including Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, Ministers, Judges of High Court, MPs, MLAs, Chairman and Vice Chairman of Boards & Corporations H.P. Government Officers and Employees. Ex. Chief Minister, Ex Ministers and  Ex MPs and  Ex Judges of High Court and  Ex. MLAs Ex . Chairman and  Vice Chairman, Retired H.P. Government Employees. Spouses ( Husband / Wife Son Daughter ) and parents above dignitaries would have to pay Rs 600 in the state Circuit houses and Rs 500 in the Rest houses.

Besides this central government employees, Employees of other State Governments, UTs / Bank Employees / LIC Employees posted in HP ( On Official Duty ) Editors of National daily newspapers Press Correspondents accredited to the H.P. Government. Like Mayor Dy. Mayor of M.C. President Vice-President of Nagar Parishad, Nagar Panchayats ) Gram Panchayats / Member of Zila Parishad & Block Development Committee ( BDC ) ( On official visit ) Other Himachalis would also pay Rs 600 and Rs 500 respectively.

The guests coming from outside the state or non – Himachalis would have to pay Rs 1100 and Rs 1000 respectively.

The notification said that wash or Change ( Short Stay ) would have to pay 50 percent of the existing room for rest. These charges would be applicable to all the Circuit Houses ( except Circuit House Willy’s Park and Peterhof, Shimla ) and would remain under the control of the Deputy Commissioners concerned and Rest Houses would be under the control of the Department concerned. The hike would come with immediate effect. 

  In a notification issued here today, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu government of Himachal Pradesh almost doubled the charges of HPBhawan, HP Sadan Delhi, and HPBhawan Chandigarh by fixing a tariff rate of Rs 1200 per day from the existing Rs 500 (Including 12 pc GST.) new tariff will come into operation with immediate effect. 

Earlier to this state Government also increased the Himachal Pradesh Bhavan and Sadan charges and Delhi and Chandigarh from Rs 500 to Rs 1200 per day the room tariff for the occupation of accommodation in Himachal Bhawan and Sadan Delhi and Himachal Bhawan Chandigarh (except commercial rooms under control of HPTDC).
