Himachal Declares 2025 HAS Exam Results; 30 Candidates Selected for Key Administrative Roles
The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) has unveiled the much-anticipated results for the prestigious Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service (HAS) examination for 2025. The announcement, made on Tuesday evening, brings closure to a rigorous selection process for 35 coveted posts within the state’s administration.
While the exam is renowned as one of Himachal’s most challenging competitive tests, the Commission has successfully recommended candidates for 30 positions. However, five posts under various reserved categories will remain unfilled for now.
A Breakdown of Appointments
The selected candidates will join various branches of the state’s civil services:
· Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service (HPAS): 1 Candidate
· Himachal Pradesh Police Service (HPPS): 2 Candidates
· Block Development Officer (BDO): 8 Candidates
· Tehsildar: 9 Candidates
· District Controller: 2 Candidates
· Assistant Commissioner: 8 Candidates
Meet the Selected Candidates
The results bring names and faces to these key roles. Megha Singh Kanwar secured the top-ranking HPAS position. Anchal Kumari and Abhishek Kapoor were selected for the HPPS.
The new Block Development Officers will include Vikas Verma, Saurabh Thakur, Rohit Chauhan, and others. The Tehsildar appointees feature names like Ankit Sharma, Divya Jyoti Katoch, and Anuj Sharma.
Notably, Anchal Kumari was also selected for the District Controller post alongside Sheetal. The new Assistant Commissioners include Vikrant Pandey, Ishan Jamlata, Abhishek Sharma, and Rohit Rana.
The Examination Journey
The candidates underwent a lengthy selection process that began with the preliminary exam on June 29, 2025. This was followed by the main written examination held between September 25 and October 1, 2025. The final stage comprised personality tests (interviews) conducted from December 22 to December 30, 2025, with a break on Christmas Day.
These successful candidates are now set to embark on their careers in public service, taking on responsibilities that will shape the governance and development of Himachal Pradesh.
