Himachal Congress submitted a memorandum to President through DC, demanding the removal of Amit Shah

On the call of the All India Congress Committee, today the Congress Party in all the districts of the state submitted a memorandum to the Honorable President of the country through the District Deputy Commissioners, demanding the removal of Union Home Minister Amit Shah from his post.
In Shimla, the State Congress Committee, under the joint aegis of District Shimla Urban and Rural, marched to the Shimla DC office from Ambedkar Chowk in Chaura Maidan, raising strong slogans against the BJP government at the center and Shah and submitted a memorandum under the leadership of former General Secretary of State Congress and Vice President of Himuda Yashwant Chhajta and senior leaders of the party.
In a memorandum sent to the President, the Congress has expressed deep anger over the insult of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar by Amit Shah in the Parliament and has demanded the President to immediately remove him from the post.
The memorandum said that the Home Minister of the country has used the Parliament to criticise the architect of the Constitution, Dr Bhim Rao Babasaheb Ambedkar and insulted him in the Parliament by using abusive language against him, which the Congress Party strongly condemns.
It is said in the memorandum that the insult and abusive language used by the Home Minister in the Parliament against Ambedkar, the great leader of the Indian freedom movement and the great contributor to the constitution, can neither be ignored nor tolerated at any level. This country can never forget Ambedkar’s invaluable contribution to nation building by securing the rights of the citizens of the country as well as Dalits and the weaker sections of the society in the Constitution of India.
It has been alleged in the memorandum that till date neither has the Home Minister apologised to the people of the country on this issue nor has the BJP taken any action against him.
It has been alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party is deliberately working under a conspiracy to tamper with the Constitution of the country, insult the Constitution maker Ambedkar and humiliate the Dalit and weaker sections of the country.
Congress is committed to protecting the Constitution of the country and the civil rights enshrined in it. It will not tolerate the insult of the architect of the Constitution at any level and, from Parliament to the streets, it protests against this act of the Home Minister and demands from the President of the country to immediately remove the Home Minister from his post.
