Himachal Congress Gears Up for Massive Participation in Delhi’s December 14 Rally

In preparation for the “Vote Chor, Gaddi Chhod Maha Rally” scheduled at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan on December 14, 2025, the Himachal Pradesh Congress has begun large‑scale coordination efforts to ensure strong participation from the state. Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has set up a dedicated Transportation and Food Committee to streamline arrangements for party workers traveling to the national capital. The committee will be led by Deputy Chief Whip and Shahpur MLA Kewal Singh Pathania, with Chamba MLA Neeraj Nayyar and Himachal Haj Committee interim president Dildar Ali Butt serving as members.

During a meeting held in Shimla, Pathania and other committee members shared that the Indian National Congress is organizing this major protest under the leadership of Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi. The rally aims to raise concerns about alleged irregularities in voter lists and accusations of vote manipulation. They emphasized that a fair electoral process is essential for political equality and expressed the party’s intention to participate in the rally in large numbers. More than 5,000 Congress workers from across Himachal Pradesh are expected to reach Delhi on December 13 before marching to Ramlila Maidan the next day. Arrangements for travel, accommodation, and meals have already been finalized.

Meanwhile, State Congress President Vinay Kumar has begun a visit to New Delhi. On December 13, he will attend a meeting of the All India Congress Committee’s Backward Classes Advisory Board, chaired by Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge, with Rahul Gandhi participating as a special guest.

On December 14, Vinay Kumar will lead the Himachal delegation to the mega rally, where over 2,500 party workers from the state are expected to join. To ensure smooth coordination, he has formed four committees responsible for managing transportation, food, and other essential facilities for participants. After reviewing preparations with committee conveners, he stressed that no worker traveling to Delhi should face any inconvenience.

Vinay Kumar has also extended an invitation to senior party leaders, MLAs, former MLAs, office bearers, municipal corporation representatives, and Congress supporters across the state to join the rally. He stated that the concerns raised about the electoral process deserve attention and that the rally is intended to highlight issues the party believes are important for safeguarding democratic values.
