The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has announced the Class 10 annual examination results for 2026, bringing relief and excitement to thousands of students across the state. This year, the overall pass percentage stands at an impressive 83.87 per cent.

Students who appeared for the examination can now check their results on the official HPBOSE website.

According to the Board, 78,150 students successfully cleared the examination, while 8,433 students have been placed in the compartment category. HPBOSE Chairman Dr. Rajesh Sharma said that students who have failed in two subjects will be given another opportunity to improve their performance. These students can reappear in the supplementary examinations scheduled to be held in June.

The spotlight this year is on Anmol, a student of AVM Senior Secondary School, Pahra in Kangra district, who secured the first position in the state with an outstanding score of 699 marks.

The second position was jointly secured by three students, each scoring 698 marks. These include Abhinav Mehta and Ruhani Dhiman from Government Senior Secondary School, Rapoh Misran in Una district, and Purnima Sharma of Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Bilaspur.

The third position was also shared by two students—Ashvika Sharma of Neelam Public Senior Secondary School, Biharu (Bijhri) and Alisha Thakur of Oxford School, Kotli—who both scored 697 marks.

Adding to the list of achievers, four students jointly secured the fourth position with 696 marks. These include Shruti of Dhruv Adarsh Vidyalaya, Chhiyachi (Solan district), Asmita Sharma of Kid Buds Public Senior Secondary School, Panga (Bijhri), and Ishita Walia and Kanish from Bharti Vidyapeeth Public Senior Secondary School, Baijnath (Kangra district).

Educationists and parents have congratulated the successful students, while the Board has encouraged those needing improvement to take advantage of the upcoming supplementary examinations. The results once again reflect the hard work of students and teachers across Himachal Pradesh, setting a positive tone for the academic journey ahead.
