High reaches of Himachal snowing , Mercury plummet to season lowest
Himachal Pradesh have good news for lakhs of Tourist who are retreating Tourist destination and planning to visit Himachal Pradesh on New year eve, high reaches are snowing and inclement weather indicate that more snow is in the store in the state. Met Office said that light rain is continuing in Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Una, Solan, Shimla, Mandi, Kangra & Kullu district. Snowfall is continuing in high reaches of Chamba, Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnaur, Shimla and Kullu district. Report arriving here from including Kaza and Keylong of Lahaul-Spiti district high reaches are receiving snowfall in the state. Report arriving here today said that high reaches are snowing and light rain recorded in the downstream. Keylong and Hansa recorded two cm and one cm snow and Kufri 0.5 cm till 4.30 pm. Tourist resort Manali in Kullu, Kufri and Narkanda in Shimla district received snowflakes. Many parts of Solan and Shimla District are received light rainfall. It was mainly overcast since this morning and cold wave are increased in the state. Minimum temperature plummet season lowest as ut was minus 15 degrees at Kaza and minus 4.8 at Keylong in the state. Minimum temperature of Shimla 5.3, Kalpa minus two, Dharamshala 8.2, Una & Chamba 4.6, Nahan(Siramaur) 8.5, Kufri and Solan 3, Manali one – Kangra 7, Hamirpur and Mandi 4 Dalhousie and Bilaspur 5.5.Met Office forecast rain or snowfall at many places in mid or high reaches and few places in foothills. Forecast of snowfall or rain also being made at few places tomorrow.
