Heatwave unabated in Himachal

Heatwave unabated in Himachal Pradesh for last one week as Maximum temperature remained unchanged and keeping five to six degrees above normal.The Meterogical Department said in a press release issued here today that Maximum temperature remained unchanged and many degrees above the normal. To avoid sweltering heatwave of plane  Tourist number increased in the state Tourist resort.  Shimla, Manali, Dalhousie and Dharmshala are crowded as tourist are rushing here to enjoy the  pleasent Weather and coolclime on the weekend. On Saturday Una recorded Maximum temperature of 38.2 degree Celsius, Bilaspur 36.5, Hamirpur 34,Kangra 33.8,Mandi 33.6, Shimla 24,Kalpa 22.6, Dharamshala 31.2, Una 38.2, Nahan (Sirmaur)33.6, Keylong(Lahaul-Spiti) 17, Solan 32 Manali 25, Chamba 31.6, Dalhousie 20.5 and  Kufri 18 degrees. Met Office forecast of dry weather and warning of heatwave in Shimla, Kullu and Mandi district in next two days. Weather advisory for farmers by the Met Office said that high temperature stress may reduce the yield of crops so light irrigate may be arranged wherever needed. Weather had been dry during last few week and there is no chances of rainfall in next few days, so farmers are advised to apply irrigation before sowing of any crop.Heat stress can reduce the quality of milk in livestock. Farmers are advised to provide proper shade and water to animals.Proper ventilation system should be maintained in sheds, Met Office added.
