Heatwave Continues in Himachal, Temperatures Remain Above Normal

The sweltering heatwave persists in Himachal Pradesh, affecting both the plains and mid-hills as temperatures stay two to three degrees above normal. 

On Sunday, the maximum temperature in Neri, Hamirpur soared to 43 degrees Celsius.

Other regions also experienced high temperatures, with Una and Bilaspur recording maximum temperatures of 41 and 40.2 degrees Celsius, respectively. 

Shimla reported a maximum temperature of 28.4 degrees, which is 2.6 degrees above normal. Sundernagar and Bhuntar saw temperatures rise to 38.6 and 36.0 degrees, exceeding their normal by 3.5 and 2.3 degrees, respectively. In Kalpa, the temperature was slightly below normal at 23.0 degrees.

Dharamshala registered 34.5 degrees, Una reached 41.8 degrees, and Nahan was at 38.0 degrees, all above their usual temperatures by around 2 to 4 degrees. 

Other notable temperatures include Solan at 34.4 degrees, Mandi at 37.4 degrees, and Hamirpur at 39.0 degrees.

Tourists resort Manali 27 degrees, Kufri and Narkanda 23.3 degrees Keylong 17.7 degrees and five degrees below normal, and Dalhousie 28.3 degrees 

Despite the heatwave, some areas like Keylong and Chamba reported temperatures significantly below normal, highlighting the varied impact of the current weather patterns across the region.

The ongoing heatwave poses challenges, and residents are advised to take necessary precautions to cope with the extreme heat.
