HC reject bail application
A SIT of Himachal Pradesh Police arrested two main accused’s involved in fire crackers factory blast case, the duo hailed to Delhi made futile attempt to get bail in Himachal Pradesh High court on Thursday, police spokesman said in a press statement issued here today. Two main accused, namely. Nikhil Soni and Rajesh Babbar, both residents of Delhi had filed an anticipatory bail petition in HP High Court at Shimla. The matter was heard by the Court today and their bail petition was not confirmed . Accordingly both accused have been arrested today and they will be produced in the court of District & Sessions Judge , Una tomorrow . It has been stated earlier that seven woman working in the illegal Firecracker factory died on the spot and each other sustain burn injuries as on Feb 22 , an explosion took place in an illegal firecracker factory operating in the Industrial Area Bela Bathri , Tehsil Haroli District Una . A FIR has been registered under section under section 304,323 , 120B IPC and section 5 of Explosive Substances Act 1908 was registered in Police Station , Haroli. Due to this explosion , till date 12 workers lost their lives . During the course of investigation , six accused have been arrested by Una police from UP , Delhi , Punjab and Mumbai . Raids have also been conducted at factories supplying raw materials in other states. Another accused namely Rohit Suri , who has been in judicial custody since 09/03/2022 , had filed a regular bail petition in the HP High Court , the hearing of which has been deferred by the Court up to Mar 31, 2022. The investigation of this case is in progress. A SIT of state police led by DIG Northern range Ms. Sumedha Dewedi, Chairperson First RBn Vimukat Ranjan and SP Una Arjit Sen Thakur as member are investigating the mishap.
