Govt fails to reach out to people affected by Monsoon rain :CPI(M)

Himachal Pradesh Government couldn’t reach out to affected people by the recent Monsoon rain derailed normal life as power and many roads including national highway are still off. This was stated by CPI (M) MLA Rakesh Singha while addressing press conference here today. He said that state government announced Rs 5 lakh each district to hand over to those affected by the rain loss however it is minscules infront of volume of loss inoccurred by recent rain. The government could not restored and improve the various roads including National Highway affected in apple grown areas. Number of Apple grading and packaging plants run by the power supply couldn’t operating due to power failure in many areas. Singhs said that he was receiving thousands of Complaints of people from his Assembly constituency about worst condition of apple Transport affected roads and disruption in power supply. Chief minister Jai Ram Thakur who run the CM help lines(1100) and Chief Secretary  must have volleys of Complaints couldn’t feign ignorance of caledoscopic devastations rendered by the heavy rains. During the council of ministers held on Monday Chief minister Jai Ram Thakur expected to come out with much relief package to the affected especially farmers but CoMs just paid rituals tribute to the demise and render lip service to such a big loss of property and lives. In addition to rescue operation He said that state and Goverment mechinary expected to work on war footing promptly to give respite to people affected by the rains and improve the condition of power, roads, communication and water supply etc but many roads are still off and unmaintaned as there is no response from the Administeration. He said that ruling party especially chief minister accuseds him to protest on every issue but Goverment should understand that rights from the liberation of nation from colonial rule nothing could be achieved without agitation and fighting for the cause. He said that state government remained fail to manage apple season as neither Goverment nor Administeration is working intendem with peak season require urgent attention. He said that additional mechinary and staff should be provided to tackle the situation caused in the state during monsoon season. He said that Goverment have no control over the natural diaster but it could manage the infrastructure and public amenities so that people who are affected by recent rains could reach out un crisis. He said that more than 300 roads and many National Highway is fully and partly affected by the landslide and washing away of the bridge and portion of roads. He said that government should start restoration work on the warfooting. Je said that apple Growers could not store the crops require opening of roads so that it could be taken to market. He said that many roads are not worthy of plying loaded vehicles and it would further endangered lives of people if they attempt to run Transport of crops unmaintaned and demaged roads. He said that Administeration should be restore such roads where people are waiting to evecuate their crops ready to market.  He said that Goverment should hear him despite CPI(M) has very minscule Poltical strength as he is bound to awaken it to help people. I would handover a memorandum to Chief minister or Chief Secretary today seeking urgent intervention og goverment mechinary to open roads and repair power lines affected by recent rains.
