Governor Shukla and Chief Minister Sukhu greet people on Guru Nanak Jayanti
Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu have greeted the people of the state especially Sikh brethren on the auspicious occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti.
In his message, the Governor said that Guruparab was the most sacred festival of Sikhs which was the birth anniversary of their first Guru, Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. He said we should follow teachings of Guruji for an enriched and peaceful life.
In a felicitation message, the Chief Minister said that Guru Nanak Dev Ji preached love, peace, communal harmony and selfless service to strengthen the bond of universal brotherhood. He said that teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji were more relevant in the present day.
