Government should immediately pay anti-hailnet subsidy to gardeners: Chetan Baragata
The central government has already paid its share on anti-hailnet subsidy
State BJP spokesperson Chetan Singh Baragata, while launching a scathing attack on the Congress government of the state, said that ever since the Congress government has come to power in the state, the problems of the gardeners are continuously increasing. Today, to save their crops from hailstorm, gardeners across the state are installing anti-hailnets at their own level, but due to the negligence of the government, they are facing a huge financial burden.
Baragata said that during the previous BJP government, up to 80% subsidy was given on anti-hailnet, which was providing relief to thousands of gardeners. But the current Congress government has not only stopped this scheme, but has also stopped the payment of the already approved subsidy.
He alleged that the state government is spreading false propaganda that the state treasury is empty, hence the payment is not being made. Whereas the truth is that the central government has already paid its share of the subsidy to the gardeners to the state government.
“Horticulture is the backbone of the state and ignoring horticulturists is an injustice to the state’s economy,” Baragata demanded that the government pay the subsidy immediately.
