Government should fulfill the promises made to ZIP employees : Jitendra Bhotka

Former Kasupanti BJP Mandal President Jitendra Bhotka has taken the state government to task and said that it should immediately fulfill the promises made by CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu to the Zilla Parishad employees during the elections. He said that due to the strike of Zilla Parishad employees, especially the Panchayat Secretary and technical assistants, development has completely come to a standstill in the entire state. He has held the state government responsible for this. Bhotka said that last year, when these same employees had gone on strike demanding the merger of their services with the Rural Development Department and Panchayati Raj Department, then CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and Mukesh Agnihotri went among these striking employees and made promises. He had said that as soon as his government came to power, the services of these employees would be permanently merged into the Rural Development Department and Panchayati Raj Department in the first cabinet, but even after 10 months of tenure, this government has still not taken any action towards their services. Not implemented.
Referring to the statements of CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri that went viral on social media, he said that the Sukhu government has not only cheated women and unemployed youth but this government has also cheated the Panchayati Raj employees. He warned the state government that if the demands of these striking employees are not resolved soon, Himachal Pradesh will go far behind in terms of development due to which the development process in the state will come to a halt. He said that due to the strike of these employees in the recent Gram Sabhas held across the state on October 2, the quorum could not be completed in most of the Panchayats and no action plan was approved. He said that the employees who issue government certificates to the common people are having to go on strike to get the certificates of being government employees themselves. Bhotka urged the state government to resolve this sensitive issue quickly so that the stalled development process in the state can be brought back on track, otherwise the government will have to suffer the consequences.
