Former IIT Mandi Director Timothy Gonsalves daughter Kartiki Gonsalves wins Oscar for Elephant Whisperers

 IIT Mandi former director Timothy A Gonsalves’s daughter Kartika Gonsalves was conferred with US’s 95th academy awards for short category man-animal documentary yesterday. It is worthwhile to mention that Timothy Gonsalves was founding Director of IIT Mandi. Kartiki Gonsalves and Guneet Monga’s Netflix documentary short, The Elephant Whisperers, has won the Oscar for best documentary short category at the 95th Academy Awards. The documentary depicts man animal bonds for each others and it is the third documentary of Kartika and Guneet which is a hit on Netflix and was shortlisted for Oscar award.
