Fogs impacts visibility in four districts of Himachal : IMD

The visibility are decreasing sharply owing to increasing fog in four districts of Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday as it impacted severe level of 50 meter in Sundernagar and Bilaspur towns. Indian Metalogical Department issuing yellow alert advised commuters to drive slowly in Mandi, Bilaspur, Hamirpur and Kangra. Met Office advised the people and commuters to drive low speed limit to counters possible mishaps in poor visibility condition. Issuing yellow alert for November 29, 30 and December 1 IMD said that Dldense to moderate fog likely to impact isolated pockets in the distt of Bilaspur  and Kangra, Hamirpur and Mandi. The state towns Bilaspur which lies on the bank of Govind Sagar dams and Sundernagar of Mandi district on bank of BBMB canal may affected drastically owing to declining visibility to mere 50 meter. In the day it was mainly dry but sunny in the state. In the wee hours and night Mercury was in freezing point in tribal however above subzero in others low line area of hill state. Minimum temperature at Keylong ( headquarter of Lahaul-Spiti district) was minus 4.8 degrees and 1.8 degrees down the normal, Manali (Kullu) 1.6 , Kalpa (Kinnaur) 1.8, tourist resort Kufri 6.8, Narkanda 4, Dalhousie 8.5 and Shimls 6.5 degrees, Dharmshala 8.4 and Mandi 4.6 degrees.  A Feeble Western Disturbance likely to affect western Himalayan region from December 2 onwards.
