Farmer’s daughter Babita becomes Assistant Professor in CU Jammu

 In the current context, young women are outdoing men in every field and establishing their dominance. Babita Sharma is a living example of this. Through her hard work and efforts, she has achieved success, making her future meaningful. Babita Sharma has been selected as an Assistant Professor (Social Work) at the Central University of Jammu. Her achievement has brought joy to the entire Junga region. She interviewed for the Central University in November last year, where she was selected as an Assistant Professor and has now joined her duties.
It is worth noting that Babita Sharma was born into a simple farming family in the village of Teer in the Bhadech Panchayat, adjacent to Junga. Her father, Ramesh Chand Sharma, is a farmer, while her mother, Vidya Devi, works as an Anganwadi assistant. She completed her middle school education at her village school, Bhadech. She then completed her 10th grade from Koti and 12th grade from the Government Senior Secondary School, Lakkad Bazaar, Shimla. Continuing her studies, Babita earned a B.Sc. from the Government Girls College, Shimla, and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Himachal Pradesh University. She subsequently passed the UGC, NET, and JRF examinations in 2020. Currently, Babita is pursuing a PhD in Social Work, with her thesis submitted in December 2025.
While advising the youth, Babita Sharma said that in this era of competition, one should set one’s goals and work hard, only then can one achieve one’s life goals.
