Education, health, roads in bad condition, youth troubled by unemployment, no development in tourism sector: Surjit Thakur

Challenging Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, Aam Aadmi Party’s state president Surjit Thakur said that he should answer 10 issues of the public within 15 days, otherwise the public is ready to answer them in the assembly elections. Thakur said that the Chief Minister makes claims of development, if he has really done development, then he should answer the issues and questions of the people. These issues have been raised by the people of 68 assembly constituencies of the state during the Aam Aadmi Party’s Parivartan Yatra. Surjit Thakur said that during the Parivartan Yatra reached every village in the state, he has raised issues from the public with the workers, he is placing them in front of the Chief Minister today for his answer. The people of the state want answers from the Chief Minister on these issues. Aam Aadmi Party’s Parivartan Yatra took out in 68 assembly constituencies of all 12 districts of the state. In which AAP workers contacted the people of the state by traveling 8100 villages, 136 road shows and 9642 kms. AAP workers went from village to village in every assembly constituency and talked to the public and listened to their problems.

During the Parivartan Yatra, the issue of poor education came to the fore in every district of the state. During the public dialogue in Kullu, he was very disturbed to hear the pain of women worried about the future of the children. The women who participated in the public dialogue, narrating their grief, told that their children do not study due to lack of teachers in the school. Due to which he is very worried about the future of his children. Tears welled up in the eyes of many women while narrating their grief. Weeping women told that there is no one here to listen to them. The schools here are in very bad condition. He worries about the future of his children and he was not able to send them to private schools. In this way, the plight of the education system came to the fore in the education minister’s district itself. Those women were telling that she is upset because to whom should she go with her problem, till today she has never seen her MLA even once in four and a half years. When the parents are worried about the poor education system in the district of Education Minister Govind Singh Thakur, then the whole of Himachal can be estimated from this.

During the Parivartan Yatra, the matter of the plight of health facilities came to the fore in every field. One such case came to the fore in Chamba district, which made everyone’s heart sad. During a public dialogue in Chamba, a victim told us how his home was ruined because of good health facilities in Chamba. The victim told that about 2 years ago his wife was pregnant and was in a very serious condition, as soon as he took her to Chamba Medical College from the broken roads. But the doctor there referred his wife to Kangra due to lack of infrastructure. Due to not getting treatment at the right time, his wife died on the way. Due to lack of good health facilities in Chamba, his wife died and the person’s house was destroyed in an instant. Chamba Medical College has neither good infrastructure, nor medicines are available and there is also a shortage of doctors. But even then the government is sitting utterly careless. He has nothing to do with the problems of the people.

In Hamirpur, the parents roamed for three days carrying the dead body of the son, the post-mortem could not be done.

During the Parivartan Yatra, due to the plight of health services in Hamirpur, one such case came to light which is heart-wrenching. During a public dialogue in Hamirpur, a helpless parent told us how he was walking from hospital to hospital with the dead body of his son for 3 days. But the post-mortem could not be done. What a tough time for a parent when she loses her son young son and he is going from hospital to hospital for post mortem of his son. How can it be Hearing the words of those parents, tears came from my eyes, but the government is not taking the name of waking up.

State President of Aam Aadmi Party Surjit Thakur said that the people of the state are saying that Congress and BJP leaders have only given problems after taking votes and did not solve the problems. Due to which the people of the state are ready for big changes in the upcoming elections. Aam Aadmi Party has become the first choice of the people. Surjit Thakur said this on the basis of his experience after the Aam Aadmi Party’s Parivartan Yatra in 68 assembly constituencies of the four parliamentary constituencies of the state. During the press conference after the conclusion of the Parivartan Yatra, Thakur said that during the Parivartan Yatra, the workers of Aam Aadmi Party met the people and heard and saw their problems by doing public dialogue. Which proves that the government makes claims of development, but development is not visible anywhere in the state. The people of the state are troubled by the problems. Surjit Thakur said that I am placing the major issues of the people of Himachal in front of the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and on behalf of the people of Himachal, I will ask him to give a befitting reply to these 10 issues within 15 days, otherwise the people of Himachal will not succeed this time. For the first time, Aam Aadmi Party workers have come to our door to hear our problems. In fact these people can do good for Himachal. During the Aam Aadmi Party’s Parivartan Yatra, the people themselves are coming and telling us their problems. Which proves that now the people of the state have faith in the Aam Aadmi Party only. People don’t trust Congress and BJP. The farmers and gardeners in the areas of Upper Shimla are very upset. Farmers lack processing units, so there is no cold storage system.

There is no doctor in the district headquarters hospital, due to which patients coming from rural areas do not get any treatment facility. Hundreds of primary health centers in the state are running without doctors. Roads are in bad condition across the state. Apple season has started in Upper Shimla and Kullu districts but it is difficult for apple carts to ply on the rough roads. Similarly, roads in rural areas along with main roads of all districts including Sirmaur, Chamba, Kangra, Una are in poor condition. People are walking on the roads risking their lives and the government has failed to build the road. The people of cities and villages all over the state are troubled by the drinking water crisis. The government is making claims of providing water to every household under the Jal Jeevan Mission, but people are not getting water in their homes. Due to which the claim of the government is being exposed only due to non-availability of water in the homes of the people. The youth are troubled by the rising unemployment in the state. The government has failed to provide employment to the youth. During the Parivartan Yatra, it came to light that due to lack of employment to the children, their parents are also very upset and the youth frustrated by the worry about the future are falling into the grip of drugs. Which is a matter of concern for the entire state. While the government makes claims of tourism development, nothing has been done in the name of tourism development in the major tourist areas of Shimla, Manali, Dharamshala and Chamba.
