
Drug de-addiction awareness program organized at Chail-Koti College
A drug de-addiction and public awareness program was organized at Government College, Chail-Koti on Saturday. During the program, students were made aware of the ill effects of various drugs, including “Chitta.” Through an awareness video available on the website of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, students were informed about the ill effects of drug abuse and how to prevent it.
At the event, college professor Dr. Hemant administered an oath to all students to build a drug-free India. The program was presided over by college principal Dr. Deepshikha Bhardwaj. In her address, she urged students to stay away from drugs and lead healthy, disciplined, and responsible lives. She said that if the youth stay away from drugs, the future of society and the nation will be more secure and strong.
During the programme, students also shared their views on the growing problem of drug addiction and stressed on the need for collective efforts to make the society drug free.
Dr. Rajesh Chauhan, Dr. Nisha, Dr. Sushil, Dr. Harinder, Dr. Bobija, Mr. Naresh Sharma, Mr. Prem Sharma, and Dr. Anupam Verma, along with all the college’s faculty and staff, were present on this occasion. The program concluded with a collective pledge by all attendees to build a drug-free society.
