Diwali is a festival of enthusiasm, celebrate it in unison: Governor Shukla

Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, today distributed sweets to all the students of the Institute for Children with Special Ability (Boys) Dhalli, Shimla, and wished them a happy Diwali. Lady Governor Janaki Shukla was also present on the occasion.

The Governor said that Diwali is a festival of enthusiasm that should be celebrated in unison. It is one of the most revered and pious festivals deeply entrenched in our culture. Known as the festival of lights, Diwali is commemorated as the victory of lights over darkness, which in the literal sense, means that no matter how powerful an evil force, it is fated to meet with its end finally.

He said that on the strength of self-confidence and willpower, a human being can overcome physical challenges and adverse circumstances and achieve the desired destination. In fact, if a physically normal person has laziness, carelessness, and bad habits, then he is a burden on his parents and society, he said.

Sh. Shukla praised the excellent stage conduction by the students of the school and said that all these students were talented and there was a need to hone their abilities. He said that he would raise the matter with the state government to solve the problems of students and teachers of the institute.

Headmaster, Dharampal Rana welcomed the Governor and detailed the activities of the school.

Volunteers of the Red Cross Society, teachers, and trainers of the institute were also present on the occasion amongst others.
