District level under 19 football competition begins in Junga

The Under-19 District-Level Football Competition for students began at the Government Model Senior Secondary School, Junga. 118 players from eight senior secondary schools: Rohru Boys, CZ Rohru, Duttnagar, Summerhill, Sarahan, Sunni, and Dadgi Junga schools are participating in this two-day competition. Retired history lecturer Ram Lal Lodhata inaugurated the event by lighting a lamp and hoisting the flag. He urged children to play the game in a sporting spirit. He said that sports instill in children a sense of hard work, competition, leadership, and mutual cooperation, which proves useful in achieving their life goals.
Principal Mahesh Sharma welcomed the chief guest and provided information about the arrangements made for the district-level football tournament. He honored the chief guest with a memento.
The first match was played between Government Senior Secondary School, Junga, and Duttnagar. In this thrilling contest, Junga defeated Duttnagar 2-0. The match was played under the supervision of Sports Incharge Rajkumar, Stage Director Hansraj, PET Suman Chauhan, and other physical education teachers.
