Deputy Chief Whip calls on Chief Minister
Deputy Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania called on Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu here today. He discussed the proposed Aerocity project near Gaggal Airport and apprised the Chief Minister that the land acquisition process by the district administration is currently underway. He said that the present land rate in the area near the airport is approximately Rs. 24 lakh per kanal.
The Deputy Chief Whip urged the Chief Minister to revise the compensation rates to ensure fair compensation for the affected people, so that the land acquisition process remains transparent.
He also highlighted the potential benefits of the Aerocity project, stating that once completed, it is expected to boost tourism in the region, create new employment opportunities for local youth and strengthen the economy.
The Chief Minister assured that the matter would be considered seriously. He said that the government is committed to protect the interests of the affected people and will take effective steps to ensure fair compensation.
