Defamation case filed in Delhi Court
In a recent development, a defamation suit amounting to Rs. One Crore has been lodged against Nishant Sharma, a businessman residing in Palampur, at the Delhi Court. This legal action, initiated by Sachin Shridhar in the district and sessions judge Saket court (South) on December 6, 2023, seeks damages and a perpetual and permanent injunction.
This defamation case is a counteraction against alleged ‘threat to life’ statements made by Nishant Sharma against Sachin Shridhar. In this legal proceeding, Sachin Sridhar accuses Nishant Sharma of disseminating false and damaging allegations, including the misuse of influence.
The High Court of Himachal Pradesh took suo moto action based on an email from Sharma. Subsequently, the Kangra Police filed an FIR, and the investigation is still pending. This case is drawing attention of both media and legal fraternity, further reports are awaited.
