DC Sirmaur Sumit Khimta Inaugurates Trilokpur Fair, opens Him Ira Model Shop

Deputy Commissioner of Sirmaur, Sumit Khimta, officially inaugurated the Ashwin Navratri Shri Mahamaya Balasundari Mata Trilokpur Fair today by performing prayers alongside his family.

Speaking at the event, he highlighted that the Trilokpur Fair, held from October 3rd to October 17th, sees a significant influx of devotees, not just from Himachal Pradesh, but also from Haryana, who come to pay their respects to the Goddess.

Khimta noted that due to the large number of attendees, stringent security measures have been put in place at the fairground and nearby areas. Police and Home Guard personnel have been directed to maintain strict vigilance throughout the duration of the fair.

After the inauguration, he reviewed the arrangements for cleanliness, drinking water, and electricity at the venue, instructing fair officials to prioritize the safety and comfort of the devotees.

In addition, Khimta inaugurated the Him Ira Model Shop, established under the National Rural Livelihood Mission by the District Rural Development Department. The shop features products made by women from various Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and women’s committees.

The event was also attended by Additional District Magistrate L.R. Verma, District Development Officer Abhishek Mittal from the Rural Development Department, Nahan Tehsildar Upendra Kumar, and officials from the Trilokpur Temple Trust.
