CS Sanjay Kumar Gupta presides over review meeting of HIM MSME FEST-2026
A meeting was presided over by Chief Secretary Sanjay Kumar Gupta today to review progress on the forthcoming HIM MSME Fest-2026 and related inter-departmental points. The event is scheduled from 3-5 January 2026 at The Ridge and Hotel Peterhoff, Shimla.
The Chief Secretary said a major highlight of HIM MSME Fest-2026 is the Department of Industries, Government of Himachal Pradesh, organizing a “CEO Interaction – Strategic Leadership Dialogue for Investment & Industrial Growth” on 4 January 2026 at Hotel Peterhoff, Shimla. “This high-level dialogue will be held in the distinguished presence of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu,” he added.
Sanjay Gupta stated this exclusive, closed-door leadership dialogue would bring together eminent Chief Executive Officers (CEOs), Managing Directors, Promoters, and Industry Leaders from priority and emerging sectors—Pharmaceuticals, Green Mobility, Food Processing, Dairy, Data Centers, and Defense—both from India and abroad. Conceptualized as a structured Business-to-Government (B2G) forum, it aims to foster meaningful discussions on investment opportunities, policy incentives, regulatory reforms, and long-term industrial growth prospects in the state. This initiative reflects the state government’s commitment to collaborative governance, investor-centric policymaking, and ease of doing business, positioning Himachal Pradesh as a future-ready, sustainable and globally competitive investment destination.
Chief Secretary noted the dialogue will enable direct engagement between industry leaders and government, to understand investor expectations, and explore opportunities for anchor investments, industrial clusters, and value-chain integration-especially in MSME-linked manufacturing. It will also promote collaborations between large enterprises and local MSMEs for inclusive, sustainable industrial growth.
Director (Industries) Dr. Yunus outlined key features as participation by leading national and international industry leaders; policy address and vision presentation by the Department of Industries; sector-specific roundtable discussions; one-to-one meetings between industry leaders and senior officials; and a platform for Memorandums of Cooperation/Understanding (MoCs/MoUs) and investment intent announcements. This CEO Interaction will strengthen investor confidence, identify new proposals and expansion plans, refine industrial and MSME policies, and create a roadmap for sustainable, technology-driven, employment-oriented development. As a cornerstone of HIM MSME Fest–2026, it reinforces the state’s commitment to investment facilitation, collaborative governance, and MSME-led economic transformation.
Dr. Yunus added that handloom, handicraft, and other GI-tagged products will be displayed alongside the MSME exhibition at The Ridge, with the Fest inaugural ceremony, start-up awards, fashion show, and cultural evening. On 4th January at Peterhoff, major activities include Women Entrepreneurs Meet, Start-up Investor Meet, CEOs’ Roundtable Conference, one-to-one meetings, and ODOP (One District One Product) Buyer-Seller Meet.
Among others present were Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap, SP Sanjeev Gandhi, Abhishek, Additional Director (Industries), MSME, DFO Solan, and officers from the Language and Culture Department and Shimla Municipal Corporation.
