CPI(M) demands judicial probe into missing of Rs 20 lakh Apple concentrate from HPMC Pramanoo

State Unit of CPI(M) sought judicial probe from the retired judge of Himachal PradeshHigh Court  to investigate the alleged scam of missing of 18.50 tone apple concentrate from HPMC \Parmanoo unit of Solan district seeking resignation of Horticulture and IPH Minister Mohinder SinghThakur,
In a press statement issued by state party secretary Dr Onkar Shad said that Jai Ram Thakur governmentshould initiate probe by the retired judge of Himahcal Pradesh High court after the alleged incident of missingof worth 20 lakh rupees apple concentrate measuring 18.50 metric tonne from the Parwanoo plant of HimachalPradesh Fruit Processing and Manufacturing Corporation.
Party said that ministers have tried to cover up the scam by instituting a two member departmental probe howeverno employees could dare to indulge in such a high level of misappropriation without involvement of top management and chairman of HPMC.
Socalled probe by the officials would not be able to reveal  the truth however it would cover up the scam and real culprits which was done to overcome the scams occured in the public sector company.. No small frey could be involved in this scam as the chairman and senior level officials are responsible for the the scam  maybe covering up the real culprits by eye washing with departmental probe to put the crime under carpet.
Since the chairman of the company happens to be the Minister of department therefore the responsibility lies onthe Jai Ram Govt to ensure free and fair probe by taking resignation of the minister on the moral ground and toensure the impartial probe.
The HPMC is already facing the discrimination on part of Government as it is on the verge of existance and junior levelemployees could not be held responsible for such a big scam which amounts the Rs twenty lakh missapppriation.
Minister has remained on the target of the left party for his recent remarks against its activists as Mr Thakur publicly challenged it to not do any work on their behast. It is not first time that Jai Ram Thakur who is known
for his public integrity and honesty came on the radar of the opposition party on this issue of corruption.
 HPMC purchases Apple from farmers under Market Intervention Scheme and the precured apple is used to produce apple concentrate at Parwanoo plant, further sold after converting it into juice tetra pack by the company and also being sold to other food and fruit processing units.
