Covid positive, NDPS accused absconding
An accused tested positive for Covid 19 and booked in a NDPS case, absconding from the coustody of Paonta- Sahib police under Sirmaur district.
The accused had arrested from Haryana on Feb 7 along with two others carrying 20 gm smack and 60 grams of opium was hospitalisd at Civil Hospital Poanta-Shaib on Feb 9 where he was also tested positive for Covid infection.
He gave a slip to Hospital security and police gaurds during his treatment but still at large since last three days.
Police team has started a search in Paonta and surrounding barriers to nab him. Information being shared by the police with neighboring states.
It is worthwhile to mention that two accused had escaped from the covid ward of Sarahan in the district last years.
