Congress revokes suspension of Ex-MLA Jagjivan Pal & Mr Paras Ram

All India Congress Committee (AICC) has revoked the suspension of former MLA Jagjivan Pal and Mr. Paras Ram, party general secretary V C Venugopal said in a press release.

 The decision comes in line with the recommendation of the Chairperson of the State Disciplinary Committee and keeping in view the forthcoming Elections or Bye-Elections in the state.

Jagjivan Pal and Mr. Paras Ram were suspended for defying party discipline in Assembly elections in 2022. 

The party is trying to consolidate the organization bringing back the dedicated workers and leaders as many of them are still ideologically close to the party.

Mr Pal got 27882 votes in the 2022 assembly elections from the Sulhah assembly of Kangra district and the Congress candidate pushed to third place. 

Paras Ram got 6778 votes as an independent candidate from Anni of the Kullu district
