Congress party leaders and workers paid tribute to father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi
On the martyrdom day of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, party leaders paid tribute to him at the state Congress headquarters Rajiv Bhawan. On this occasion, a program was organized under the chairmanship of State Congress President and MP Pratibha Singh in which party leaders and workers paid tribute to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi by offering flowers.
On this occasion, the State Congress President said that Mahatma Gandhi led freedom movements to every corner of India through non-violence and peaceful methods for the independence of the country, and by following the path of non-violence, he united the people of the country and freed India from foreign powers.
She said that today the whole world is moving forward following the path of non-violence shown by Gandhiji. She said that Mahatma Gandhi’s entire life was dedicated to the unity and integrity of the country.
The state president said that Mahatma Gandhi believed that it would be wrong to respond violently against British atrocities. Therefore, Bapu started non-violent demonstrations against the British Raj throughout the country and succeeded in liberating the country from the British Raj. She said that on this day in 1948, anti-national forces assassinated Mahatma Gandhi. She said that we should move forward on the path of non-violence and peace, this will be a true tribute to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi.

Chairman of Scheduled Caste Department, Amit Nanda, councilors of Municipal Corporation Shimla, party leaders, office bearers, officials, and workers of leading organizations and departments paid tribute to the Father of the Nation.
