Congress making baseless statements and misleading public: Randhir
BJP State Media Department Incharge and MLA Randhir Sharma while addressing the press conference said that the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister and other ministers of Congress are misleading the people of the country and the state by making baseless statements.
The statement given by the Deputy Chief Minister regarding the railway is completely baseless and beyond facts. His statement that the Bhanupalli-Bilaspur-Beri railway line is an attempt to reach the factory of a friend of a BJP leader is completely baseless and an attempt to cover up his own shortcomings. Randhir reminded Mukesh that this railway line was also the dream of former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, but the Congress could not make this dream come true, but the Modi government started the work on this railway line and the railway line from Bhanupalli to Beri was proposed from the beginning, but there was no budget provision. If budget provision was made for this, then it was done by our Modi government at the Center. In this project, 75% share was to be spent by the Central Government and 25% share was to be spent by the State Government and along with this, the State Government has to bear the expenditure of more than Rs. 70 crore for the acquisition of the land. The Deputy Chief Minister is discussing the matter beyond Bilaspur, right now the work on the railway line is going on only till Bilaspur, which is not complete and he said that the work till Bilaspur has been completed but the State Government has to pay Rs. 1441 crore for the railway line that is being built till Bilaspur. What is the justification for raising a question mark on the Barmana to Beri railway line instead of paying the dues, so I want to tell Mukesh Agnihotri that he should not unnecessarily accuse anyone to cover up the government’s shortcomings, this railway line has not been built to benefit any industrialist, it can also go to Rampur, it can also go to Leh Ladakh, work is also being done to approve it as defense, those are future matters, but the state government should pay its dues on the work that has been going on till now on this railway line, on which the state government has received a letter from the central government, they have said that 1441 crores of this Bhanupalli Barmana and 185 crores more have to be paid to Himachal government on Chandigarh Baddi rail line, so Himachal has to pay Rs 1636 crores for both the railway lines to the railway department. That liability is not being paid but baseless allegations are being made without any reason, there is no substance in the allegations of Congress but our allegation is that the state government is unnecessarily creating hurdles in the project run by the central government, by not paying the share that the state government is entitled to, an attempt is being made to close the project. This is a proof of the low level mentality of the Congress which the BJP strongly condemns.
Randhir cornered Mukesh Agnihotri on toilet tax and luggage tax and said that if the government had not imposed toilet tax and luggage tax then why did it take it back. Randhir presented all the government notifications before the media. He said that when any tax is imposed then only it is taken back, so it is not us but the government who is confusing, this government is taking back notifications in back date. Randhir also asked this question to the Chief Minister.
He said that instead of defending the government, Mukesh Agnihotri should think why the anti-people taxes being imposed by the government are being imposed only on your departments. He cited water cess, increased water bills, water bills on rural people, luggage tax in HRTC and toilet tax. Randhir said that Mukesh ji, you should think whether all this is a big conspiracy against you.
