Congress has given another blow of inflation to the common people by increasing bus fares by 15 percent: Harsh Mahajan

BJP Rajya Sabha MP Harsh Mahajan said that the Sukhu government of Congress has done injustice to the people of Himachal by increasing the bus fares by 15 percent and has also put a huge burden on the pockets of the people. Ever since the Congress government has come, HRTC has become a means of harassing the people of the state. Although HRTC was created for public service, but the Congress government has made it a means of money service. HRTC is the common man’s ride, people use HRTC buses for their daily work. Earlier the Congress government increased the minimum bus fare by 2 times, putting the burden of inflation on the pockets of the common people’s families and now the long distance fare has also been increased by 15 percent. This has given another blow of inflation to the common people.

Mahajan said that we want to ask the Congress government that who increased the VAT on diesel in Himachal Pradesh? They should tell how much it was increased? The figures are known to all but still we want to hear it from the Congress itself. First the government itself invited inflation by increasing taxes and after that the current Congress government made everything expensive in the name of inflation.

He said that the Himachal Pradesh government has increased the contracting license fee in the forest department ten times. Now, instead of Rs 500, Rs 5000 will have to be paid for new registration. Also, the Himachal government has given a big shock to those who consume more than 300 units of electricity in the state. The subsidy of Rs 1 per unit given to these consumers has been stopped. Consumers who consume more will now have to pay Rs 5.90 per unit. The bills for April’s consumption to be issued in May will come on this basis. Energy Secretary Rakesh Kanwar has sent a letter to the Electricity Board’s Managing Director Sandeep Kumar in this regard.

If we talk about the state, cement is expensive, steel bars are expensive, pulses in ration are expensive, oil is expensive and wherever you look, everything is getting expensive and the only reason behind this is the current Congress government, which is looting the people in the name of self-reliant Himachal.
