Congress government is unable to use the money given by Centre: BJP
Senior BJP leader and former minister Sukhram Chaudhary, spokesperson Balbir Verma and media in-charge Karna Nanda said that the Congress government of Himachal is ahead in asking for money from the centre but is far behind in giving account. All the Congress leaders blame the central government and constantly give the message to the public that money is not coming from the centre, but all the BJP leaders want to ask the Congress people that why the money that has come is not being used in Himachal.
He said that you can give the money but if it is not used then the money will lapse and go back. In simple words, this government is a government of management, this government has not been able to use the money of various schemes from the Center in a systematic manner.
BJP leaders said that the Congress government is not able to use the financial assistance provided by the central government for the health sector. From 2021 to 2025, Rs 360 crore 11 lakh has been provided by the Ministry of Health under the Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission, out of which the state government has been able to spend only Rs 78 crore. Under this scheme, 73 block level public health units are proposed to be built in the state, out of which only six have been built while tenders have been made for 14. Eight critical care units are to be established, which include Rohru, Rekongpeo, Ghwandal, Tanda, Mandi Hospital and Paonta Sahib. The state has been given Rs 521 crore from the 15th Finance Commission, out of which only Rs 128 crore 62 lakh has been spent. He said that on May 25, the Chief Minister met BJP leader Jagat Prakash Nadda in Delhi and Nafa had clearly told the Chief Minister to use the money given and will give more but use it. The Chief Minister had requested Nadda to get the money from JICA, on which the Center sanctioned Rs 1138 crore on June 30. Out of this, Rs 1024 crore has been given as grant in aid to the state government while the remaining amount has been made available on cheap loan.
BJP leaders said that the Centre has not kept any kind of deficiency for Himachal Pradesh, if there is any deficiency or flaw then it is in the Himachal Pradesh government only.
