Congress government is continuously imposing burdens on the public one after the other: Bindal

BJP State President Dr. Rajiv Bindal said that the present Congress government of Himachal Pradesh, which is running under the leadership of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, is continuously imposing burdens on the people of Himachal one after the other. Before taking votes, this government kept making announcements that women will get relief, women will get money, youth will get government jobs, milk of farmers will be sold at Rs 100 per liter, poor people will get 300 units of electricity free, and many other announcements were made, but since this government has come to power, the first thing it has done is to lighten the pocket of every person by imposing VAT of Rs 7 per liter on diesel, because diesel affects everyone. Due to the increase in the rate of diesel, Rs 2000 to 2500 crore of the common man went into the pocket of the government. After this, the stamp duty on the stamps used for public use, which are used in the revenue department, has been increased by 100 percent at many places, due to which the common man had to face huge losses.

Dr Bindal said that the only means of transport for the common man in Himachal Pradesh is HRTC, the government has also increased its fare. The minimum fare which was Rs 5 has been increased to Rs 12, the fare for luggage has been increased and the reliefs which were available in different categories have also been completely abolished. Not only this, the cess on electricity has been increased, the domestic, commercial and non-commercial rates of electricity have been increased which has increased the burden on every person’s pocket.

Dr. Bindal said that the free water facility that people were getting in rural areas was also stopped and a rate of Rs. 100 per connection was imposed and now they are giving clarification that those whose income is less than Rs. 50 thousand will not be charged any fee. He said that the thing worth noting here is that no Patwari gives a certificate of income less than 50 thousand. He said that this government used to talk about giving free electricity, free water which was already being provided, talked about giving one lakh government jobs to the youth annually, but after the elections are over, this government is busy increasing the difficulties of the people by imposing tax upon tax.

The BJP President said that the development of Himachal Pradesh has stopped, the process of taking loans is going on at a fast pace and the present Congress government is busy in putting a burden on the pockets of the common people to benefit a few people. This government is not concerned with the interests of the people of the state.
