Congress government got a big electric shock: Bihari
BJP State General Secretary Bihari Lal Sharma said that the Himachal Pradesh government has taken loans breaking records. Ever since the government came to power, this Congress government has taken a loan of Rs 25,000 crore. It is visible that the present government of Himachal Pradesh is doing its best to worsen the economic condition of Himachal Pradesh. Bihari Lal Sharma called this government the Loan King government.
The Congress government got a big shock, there was a ban on charging more than 16.5 percent electricity duty.
Sharma said that the High Court has banned charging more than 16 and a half percent electricity duty from large and medium industrial units established in the state. We welcome the decision of this High Court. The court issued orders to stay the orders issued by the state government on charging higher electricity charges contrary to the provisions of the law. With effect from August 1, 2015, electricity tariff in respect of large industrial consumers and medium industrial consumers was fixed at 11 per cent. This decision was continuously opposed by everyone in Himachal and BJP also condemned the decision of this government.
Under the notification issued on September 1, 2023, it has been increased to 17 percent and 19 percent. This is contrary to sub-section (2) of Section 11 of the Himachal Pradesh Electricity (Tariff) Act, 2009. Under this, the state government can increase the already fixed electricity tariff by up to 50 percent only through notification.
He said that the Congress government increased inflation in Himachal Pradesh. It seems that they have resolved to provide many inconveniences to the public.
