Congreaa demonstration was held in front of ED office in Shimla

A sit-in demonstration was held in front of ED, Enforcement Directorate against filing of chargesheet in National Herald case against senior party leader Sonia Gandhi and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi. Apart from Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, State Congress President Pratibha Singh, Rural Development Minister Anirudh Singh, Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh, MLAs Kuldeep Singh Rathore, Mohanlal Brakta, Sanjay Awasthi, Baba Hardeep Singh, Chief Minister’s Media Advisor Naresh Chauhan, OSD Ritesh Kapret, Mayor Surendra Chauhan, Deputy Mayor Uma Kaushal, Forest Corporation Vice President Kehar Singh Khachi, Himuda Vice President Yashwant Chhajta, many other senior party leaders, Sevadal Chief Anurag Sharma, Women Congress President Zainab Chandel and office bearers of leading organizations and a large number of party workers participated in this protest by raising slogans against the Central Government and ED.
Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu criticised the ED and said that the case in which they have filed a chargesheet is beyond comprehension. He said that National Herald is a newspaper owned by the Congress and there has been no transaction or corruption of any kind in it. He alleged that the ED has become a puppet of the BJP government and can get any action taken against anyone whenever it wants. He said that the BJP is targeting the opposition which is very unfortunate. He said that today Rahul Gandhi is raising the voice of the people against the burning issues of the country like rising unemployment and inflation. He said that Rahul Gandhi has the courage to speak against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and this is the reason why the central government is trying to suppress his voice. He said that Sonia Gandhi gave more importance to serving the party by sacrificing even the post of Prime Minister. He said that Sonia Gandhi is a respected leader of the country and her insult will not be tolerated. He said that after 12 years, the ED has tried to defame the Gandhi family by making false allegations in the National Herald case and it will not get any success in this. He said that the Gandhi family has made a huge contribution from the independence of the country to the creation of modern India. He said that Congress condemns this action of ED and Congress stands with the Gandhi family in full solidarity.
State Congress President Pratibha Singh said that Congress is not going to be afraid of any tactics of BJP. She said that the way BJP is trying to scare and suppress the opposition by misusing important institutions like ED and Income Tax is very unfortunate. She said that BJP is trying to take political advantage by making false allegations on Congress leaders to divert the attention of the people in the country, now the country has come to know the reality of BJP.
Pratibha Singh said that the ED chargesheet filed against Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald case is completely politically motivated and out of a spirit of revenge. She said that the state Congress stands with the Gandhi family in solidarity and will always stand with them.

There is no substance in the chargesheet filed by ED against its leaders. Throwing light on its background, he said that there is nothing in it. He said that it is completely beyond facts and false. He said that by making false allegations against Congress leaders, BJP is making a failed attempt to hide its crimes. BJP cannot escape from the crimes of Rafale and Electoral Bond. ED should immediately investigate this too.
