Cong blames Jai Ram Thakur Government for misuse Amrit Mahotsav for politics

Congress has written to the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) of India demanding a ban on celebrating the 75th Amrit Mahotsav of Independence in Himachal.  The Congress accused the ruling BJP government of promoting the Bharatiya Janata Party in the Amrit Mahotsav program.  On the pretext of Amrit Mahotsav, crores of rupees are being spent from the state exchequer on the public meetings of the BJP and the government machinery is being misused.  In a complaint letter to the Chief Election Commissioner, the Congress alleged that in the name of Amrit Mahotsav, these programs are being organized in each assembly constituency from the exchequer.  Waste of public money is not tolerated: State spokesperson of Bushehri Congress, Devendra Bushehari said that after one to one and a half months, assembly elections are to be held in the state.  In view of this, the Chief Minister, Minister and BJP State President are promoting BJP by not talking about Azadi Mahotsav.  During this, votes are being sought for BJP candidates.  He said that the wastage of public money will not be tolerated by the Congress.
