CM Sukhu mourns loss to human lives in Chamba district

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has expressed deep grief over the loss of human lives in Chamba district due to incessant rains during the last 72 hours. He said that the state government firmly stands with the bereaved families during this hour of grief and added that all best possible assistance would be provided to the affected families.

He prayed to the Almighty to give peace to the departed souls and strength to the bereaved family members to bear this irreparable loss.

Meanwhile, Sh. Sukhu has directed the district administration Chamba to restore the road connectivity in the disaster-hit areas on priority so that people may not suffer further due to landslides, flash floods etc. He also instructed to repair the water supply schemes in the affected areas immediately. He said that essential commodities must be made available in the disaster-hit areas so that people do not face any shortage of these items.
