CM Sukhu express grief over demise of veteran Congress leader Girija Vyas

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has expressed grief over the demise of former Union Minister and veteran Congress leader Girija Vyas who passed away at Ahmedabad yesterday.  She was 79.

The Chief Minister said that Girija Vyas has significantly contributed in the fields of education and social justice, especially women empowerment. He said that she had also made immense contributions for strengthening the Congress Party while serving in various capacities in the organization.  He said that her contributions for the development of the country would be remembered for a long period.

The Chief Minister prayed to the Almighty to give peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family members to bear this irreparable loss.
