Chamera-1 to repair head race tunnel: Alert of dam discharge

The Chamrea-1 power project in the Chamba district about 250 km from here decided to discharged the dam following repair of headrace tunnel with effect from Dec 1,  2021 to January 2022.
Giving information, General Manager-in-Charge Chamera Power Station-1 told us that from December 1 to January 15, 2022, the work of repair of head race tunnel of Chamera Power Station-1 would be done in the project.
During this period Chamera-  1 Water would  be released from the reservoir. Warning the people and the department of government.
raged all the residents living on the banks of the river not to allow themselves and their cattle to go along the river and not even try to cross the river.  So that the safety of life and property is maintained.

During the repair of the Head Race Tunnel of Chamera Power Station-1, it is proposed to lower the water level of Chamera-1 reservoir by about 30 meters.

All citizens adjoining the reservoir and the concerned departments with the boating point and other water bodies running in Taleru to take out their boats  before 1st of December so that the safety of life and property is maintained in time. he added.
