CBI chargesheet in Vimal Negi case exposes Congress government: Harsh Mahajan
BJP Rajya Sabha MP and senior leader Harsh Mahajan, while describing the charge sheet filed by CBI in the court in the Vimal Negi case as a document that removes the mask from the face of the Congress government, said that now the people of the state have understood who was trying to suppress the truth and save the culprits in this entire matter.
Harsh Mahajan said that the facts revealed in the charge sheet are extremely explosive and shocking. Allegations such as issuing fake completion certificates, alleged manipulation of official documents, pressure on officials, flouting rules, and influencing the investigation process point not just to administrative lapses but to corruption and institutional conspiracy under the patronage of power.
He said that the Congress government should now tell the people of the state at whose behest the rules were bypassed? Under whose pressure were officials forced to act? Under whose protection were files and documents tampered with? And for whose benefit was the entire system put at stake?
Mahajan said that the most serious issue is that the charge sheet also alleges obstruction of the judicial process and subversion of the investigation. If the investigating agency determines that there has been an attempt to influence evidence, alter records, or derail the investigation, this is not merely an administrative matter but a crime against the law and the Constitution.
He said that the Congress government has been under suspicion from the very beginning of the entire matter. Whenever the opposition demanded an impartial investigation, the government attempted to suppress and divert attention from the matter. Now, the CBI chargesheet has further strengthened the suspicions that the BJP has consistently raised.
Harsh Mahajan said that the people of the state want to know under what circumstances an honest officer was forced to endure such mental pressure. If the investigating agency is indicating that some individuals were unfairly benefited by ignoring the rules, then the real faces behind this should also be revealed to the public.
He said that attempts to suppress this matter by scapegoating only a few officials will not be tolerated. The BJP demands a high-level investigation into this entire matter, examining the role of everyone involved at the administrative, political, and institutional levels. Anyone found guilty should face strict legal action, no matter how influential they are.
Mahajan said the Congress government should also clarify whether the officials involved will be removed with immediate effect based on the facts revealed in the charge sheet. Will the government initiate departmental action? Or will the culprits be given political protection, as usual?
He said that this matter is not limited to Vimal Negi alone, but is linked to the state’s administrative system, transparency, and good governance. If the government remains silent despite such serious allegations, it will be perceived as fearful of the truth coming out.
Harsh Mahajan said that the BJP will raise this issue from the Assembly to the people’s court. Anyone who betrayed the people of the state, falsified documents, or influenced the investigation should not be spared. The public is watching, and in due time, political and democratic justice will be held accountable.
He said that the Congress government is no longer in a position to answer, but is instead in the dock. The people of the state want to know the truth, and the BJP will ensure that the entire episode is exposed layer by layer and the culprits are punished for their actions.
